“Everything flows out and in; everything has its tides;
all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests
in everything; the measure of the swing to the right,
is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm
Don’t we see the rhythm in the background all the time?
Night falls and rises to day and falls to night again. Low tide rises to high which returns to low again. There is growth and death only to be reborn.
This is rhythm and it’s everywhere. It’s in your heartbeat, in your breathing. It’s even in the sounds of music or in the steady drip of a faucet. It’s a pattern in movement.
The Principle of Rhythm is closely related to the Principle of Vibration and the Principle of Polarity and It took quite some time for the Hermetic Masters to understand what about this Law is in store for us; and it worked out something like Bingo’s MAD angles, it makes sense in any way you see it!
It’s a beautiful day and you are driving to work. One side of you says “you gotta take a long road and extend the drive even if it means to be late to work.” The other side says “you gotta stick to your route, what if there is traffic? You can’t afford to be late.”
You see how the pendulum swings? That’s a rhythm. The Law of Rhythm is played out on all levels across all lifetimes to counterbalance
One side of it is always illogical and creative, wanting to have its own way; while the other side is focused, logical, anti- creative and is always in zilch agreement to its opposite. You get to choose your inclination.
To whatever rhythm you vibrate, it manifests.
There is always duality- to be or not to be. There is always an action and a reaction; an advance and a retreat; a rising and a sinking. It’s not necessary to always have an inclination, you also have a choice to rise above and let it pass beneath you.
If you take a moment, you will realize how much these swings of rhythm have affected you in your life-how a happy time was easily replaced by a low time and you thought it’s the pendulum that’s pushing you to and fro; you never realized that the pendulum was in your hand.
You get to decide the pace at which it moves or the point at which it should rest. Nature’s every law gives you the authority, you got the center stage. What seems to be random is actually in ordered step.
It is inevitable that after a rise there is fall. How much more relaxed would you be if you thought that a “decline in health” is a sign to rest your body. Then, by law, rising up be it in life or in death is the only way up.
It’s normality to swing with the emotions, but you are not meant for normality. PLAY BIG!
